The Advisory Committee met at the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.
ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER (292)
Present: Susan Latham
The budget requested for FY2015 is $19,249, no increase over FY2014. Purchase of services was increased from $800 to $900 and Supplies was decreased from $600 to $500 for no net change to the budget.
AMBULANCE (231)
Present: Margy Diaz
The budget requested for FY2015 is $18,823, an increase of 1.2% over FY2014 primarily due to increase in EMT shifts and Coastal billing fees. Repairs – motor vehicle was decreased from $5,000 to $3,000 and Equipment was decreased from $6,500 to $6,000 for a net reduction of $2,500.
FIRE (220)
Present: John Mentzer
The budget requested for FY2015 is $154,821, an increase of 3.4% over FY2014 primarily due to increase in firefighters wages. There were no changes made in the budget.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE DISCUSSION
Other Business:
- Cote discussed his meeting with the fire chief as the committee’s liaison.
- Library books calculation was discussed. It was confirmed that 17.5% was correctly calculated.
- Assessor wages was addressed.
- Verifying the departments submitted the correct wages was addressed.
- Affordable Housing expenses are expended from their trust. None have been spent so far this fiscal year.
- School Committee meeting is scheduled for 2/1/14 and all were encouraged to attend.
On a motion by Czekanski and seconded by Dinjian, the Advisory Committee voted to adjourn at 10:35 p.m. (Abdalian – yes, Dinjian – yes, Czekanski – yes, Benjamin – yes, Cote – yes, Downey – yes)
