FY12 BUDGET
The Advisory Committee had a discussion on the preliminary FY12 budget situation and the budget message that they would like to send to the Nashoba Regional School District with regards to the FY12 budget.

Mr. Lindsay provided what he called an “extremely preliminary budget analysis – dated October 19, 2010”.

After a lengthy discussion, on a motion made by Dinjian and seconded by Benjamin, the Advisory Committee voted to recommend the aggregate assessment of the three member towns be level funded for FY12 given the current economic situation.  (Dinjian – yes, Benjamin – yes, Rohatgi – yes, Zelenkov – yes)

OVERLAY ACCOUNT AND ABATEMENTS
The Board of Assessors informed the Advisory Committee via memo that they had very little information to provide regarding the Appellate Tax Board cases.  The preliminary new growth is estimated at $200,000 to $225,000.  It is the Board of Assessors opinion that there is nothing to return to the overlay account for FY12.  The Board of Assessors will meet with the Advisory Committee at a later date when more information becomes available.

FYFESHIRE DAM UPDATE
The Conservation Commission provided an update via memo regarding the Fyfeshire Dam.  The Commission received the study results in a draft report last week and will be reviewing the report at their meeting this evening.  The Commission will meet with the Advisory Committee in the near future to discuss the next steps.

NEXT MEETING
The next Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, 2010.

The Advisory Committee wishes Terry Abdalian a speedy recovery.

On a motion made by Dinjian and seconded by Zelenkov, the Advisory Committee adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted by Linda L. Day
