The Advisory Committee met at the Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.  

The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:30.  Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Curt Plante and Selectman Stan Wysocki also were present.
The Committee reviewed the fy 2010 budget of the Assessors with representatives from the Board of Assessors.  On a motion by Mrs. Benjamin, seconded by Mr. Czekanski, the Committee vote unanimously to reduce the following budget line items for the Assessors to the levels indicated.

        Purchase of services            $71,810
        Training                        $     665
        Postage                 $         1
        Supplies                        $     900
        Dues                            $     200

The Committee next reviewed the Police and Communications budget with Chief Vin Alfano and administrative assistant Lorraine Kenney.  On a motion by Mr. Delaney, seconded by Mr. Dinjian, the Committee voted unanimously to reduce the following budget line items for the Police and Communications to the levels indicated.

        Other services – Lock-up        $     400
        Gasoline – cruisers             $28,000
        Dispatch uniforms               $  1,225

The Committee next reviewed the Fire Department budget with Chief Stephenson.  On a motion by Mr. Dinjian, seconded by Mr. Czekanski, the Committee voted unanimously to reduce the following budget line items for the Fire Department to the levels indicated.

        Wages – inspectors              $2,000
        Heating                 $5,600
        Diesel                          $2,200
        Automotive                      $1,000
        Equipment (Capital outlay)      $4,800

The Committee next reviewed the Ambulance budget with Ambulance Director Margy Diaz.  On a motion by Mr. Czekanski, seconded by Mr. Delaney, the Committee voted unanimously to reduce the following budget line items for the Ambulance service to the levels indicated.



        Wages – EMT Call/Training               $48,325
        Wages – EMT shifts                      $16,000
        ALS services                            $14,450
        Coastal Medical Billing         $  5,500
        Telephone                               $  1,300
        Postage                         $         1
        Supplies                                $  3,000
        Diesel                                  $  4,000
        Equipment                               $  8,000

On a motion by Mr. Czekanski, seconded by Mrs. Benjamin, the Committee voted to adjourn at 10:40 pm.
