Town Secretary Linda Day called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and accepted nominations for chairman of the Advisory Committee. On a motion made by Shnitzler and seconded by Burnett the Advisory Committee voted to appoint David Lindsay as Chairman. Ms. Day will contact the two individuals that expressed interest in serving on the Advisory Committee (via the Town Census) to see if they are available for an interview at Advisory Committee meeting on February 20th.
REQUEST FOR TRANSFER FROM THE RESERVE FUND
Chief Alfano and Mark Giunta members of the Police Station Study Committee met with the Advisory Committee to seek a transfer in the amount of $13,000 for architectural plans, study and cost estimate for a public safety building. On a motion made Fly and seconded by Shnitzler, the Advisory Committee voted to approve the transfer in the amount of $13,000.
COMMUNITY PRESERVATION ACT
Mr. Lindsay provided the Committee with a document regarding the Community Preserve Act prepared by Barry Gerken.
