The Advisory Committee met at the Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.
LIAISONS
The Committee reviewed and chose liaisons for the following departments:
Assessors – David Lindsay
Capital Planning – Burt Shnitzler
DPW – Scott Powell
Finance Team – Burt Shnitzler
Library – Stan Wysocki and Andrew Burnett
NRSD – Richard Fly
Police Department -  Stan Wysocki and Andrew Burnett
Treasurer – David Lindsay
Wastewater Treatment Plant Committee – Burt Shnitzler

MEETING SCHEDULE
The Advisory Committee will meet on the following dates with the following departments:
Tuesday, December 12, 2006  - Town Administrator and Conservation Commission
Tuesday, December 19, 2006 – Ambulance and Fire Departments, Park & Recreation
Tuesday, January 9, 2007 – Police and Communications
Tuesday, January 16, 2007 - DPW
Tuesday, January 23, 2007 - Library
Tuesday, January 30, 2007 - NRSD

The Advisory Committee will also be posted for Thursday, November 2 & 16 and December 7 & 21, 2006 to attend the Board of Selectmen’s meetings.
Town Secretary Linda Day will contact Supt. Wood’s office for a budget calendar.  The Advisory Committee would like to have the NRSD meet with them on Tuesday, January 30, 2007.
GOALS
The Advisory Committee discussed goals for 2007.  Mr. Powell and Town Secretary Linda Day will draft the goals for review by the Advisory Committee prior to submission to the Board of Selectmen.  The preliminary wording of the goals was as follows:
1.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Communicate opinions & recommendations clearly and concisely~at town meeting;
2.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Provide timely feedback regarding Advisory issues and concerns with proposals and plans to town boards and committees
3.~~~~~~~~~Work pro-actively with sponsors of articles to encourage proposals which the majority of the Advisory committee will recommend town approval of the article
4.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Strike a balance between the need for~residents to consider both sides of~important issues~and the desire to reach committee consensus on proposed articles and budgets, in order to avoid confusing the town's people~on committee recommendations
