The Advisory Committee met at the Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.
NEW MEMBER
The Advisory Committee voted unanimously to appoint Andrew Burnett to the Committee. Town Secretary Linda Day will be asked to inform Mr. Burnett.
AGRICULTURAL BYLAW
The Committee reviewed the Agricultural bylaw with Joe Kovac member of the Agricultural Steering Committee. The Committee was supportive of the draft, however, suggested expanding the education efforts to include a focus on education for the farming community as well as the general public. The Committee also suggested that the Agricultural Steering Committee work on any related rules and regulations which will be used to support the bylaw and ensure that any funding needs be included in the annual budget process.
HORSE SHOW FENCING
The Committee approved the plan for the Bolton Fair to move the fencing from Bolton to the Fairgrounds in Lancaster with a recommendation that the Selectmen have an employee from the DPW make an inspection to assure that the post holes have been properly filled in so that the field is safe for use. It would also be desirable that the Park/Recreation group confirm that the field has been properly taken care of to protect recreation program participants from injury.
