Advisory Committee Minutes July 25, 2006

The Advisory Committee met at the Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.  Minutes of June 21 and July 10, 2006 were read and approved.  
 
TRANSFER REQUESTS
The Advisory Committee voted to approve the following transfer requests:
#26     - On a motion made by Shnitzler and seconded by Wysocki the Advisory Committee voted to approve a transfer in the amount of $106.34 for various FY06 bills for the Fire Department (Account #220).   (Powell – yes, Shnitzler – yes, Wysocki – yes, Fly – yes)

#27     - On a motion made by Wysocki and seconded by Shnitzler the Advisory Committee voted to approve a transfer in the amount of $749.73 for parts for the repair of the ambulance (Account #231).  (Powell – yes, Shnitzler – yes, Wysocki – yes, Fly – yes)

Town Secretary Linda Day will provide the Advisory Committee with a history of the transfer requests over the last 2-3 years.  The Committee discussed putting more emphasis on the need to get all FY bills in within the fiscal year, and staying within budget to avoid the request for a transfer.

NEW MEMBER SEARCH
Town Secretary Linda Day stated that she has not received any response from the notice in the Bolton Common and on website seeking a volunteer to fill the vacancy on the Committee.  Ms. Day stated that she contacted Mike Benjamin and Andrew Burnett to inform them of the Committee’s decision to reopen the advertising process as in past practices and invite them to the Advisory Committee’s meeting of August 8 for an interview for this vacancy.  Ms. Day will set up interviews at 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.  

AGRICULTURAL PRESERVATION BYLAW  
Mr. Kovac, representative for the Agricultural Steering Committee will be invited in at 9:00 p.m. on August 8, 2006 to discuss the proposed bylaw.
