NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Case 08-14 An application for Special Exception has been filed with the Berlin Zoning Board by Aaron & Shannon Hamlin, of 284 Denmark Street. The subject property is located on Denmark Street, Map 126, Lot 21 & 22, in a Residential Single Family Zone. The request for a Special Exception, would allow the construction of a garage 32’ by 32’, which is larger than the 800 sq foot size permitted. The request comes under Article II, Section 17-26.1 of the Berlin Zoning Ordinance.
Case 08-14 An application for a Variance has been filed with the Berlin Zoning Board by 257 School Street LLC (Fleury Funeral Home) 72 High Street, Berlin. The subject property is located at 257 School Street, Berlin, Map 119, Lot 71, in a Residential Two Family Zone. The request for a Variance would allow a crematorium in a Residential Two Family Zone. The request seeks relief from Article VII, Section 17-72 (permitted uses in the Residential Two Family Zone) of the Berlin Zoning Ordinance.
Case 09-14 An application for Special Exception has been filed with the Berlin Zoning Board by 257 School Street LLC (Fleury Funeral Home) 72 High Street, Berlin. The subject property is located at 257 School Street, Berlin, Map 119, Lot 71, in a Residential Two Family Zone. The request for a Special Exception, would allow the construction and use of a crematory. The request comes under Article II, Section 17-24 (uses by special exception) of the Berlin Zoning Ordinance.
A Public Hearing will be held by the Berlin Zoning Board of Adjustment at their meeting on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, at which time you may submit your views on the matter in person, by writing, or by representative.
