A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Office of the Superintendent at 7:30 a.m. Present for the meeting were Nicole Plourde, Scott Losier, Louise Valliere, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, and Tammy Fauteux.
MINUTES On a motion by Scott Losier, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the June16, 2016 meeting public and nonpublic sessions. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Scott Losier, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, June 30, and July 5, 2016 for the amounts of $210,512.57, $745,627.94, and $241,458.70 respectively. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
STAFFING On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Scott Losier, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:
Resignation:
Jennifer Lyon – Guidance Counselor – Brown School
Teacher Nomination:
Brian Oberti – Music Teacher - District
Nomination:
Peter Peare – Girls Varsity Basketball Coach - BHS
The motion passed unanimously.
All nominations are contingent on the applicant passing a background check.
The Superintendent informed the Board that the high school math teacher nominee Michelle Fox has decided not to teach in the Berlin Public Schools.
ADJOURN On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Scott Losier, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 8:07 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.
