A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library at 4:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Nicole Plourde, Scott Losier, Lynn Moore, Louise Valliere, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, Amy Huter, Kevin Carpenter, Tim Forestall, Autie Hamilton, and Roland Pinette
MINUTES On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2016 meeting, public session. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, March 14, and March 21, 2016 for the amounts of $14,141.17 and $256,815.77. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
FINANCIAL REPORT The Board reviewed and approved the financial report.
COMMENTS None
POLICY –EBBC-RR On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to approve the first reading of Policy EBBC-RR – Emergency Medications Guidelines as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
BUDGET FY 17 The Superintendent reviewed answers to questions from the City Council.
COMMENTS None
MEMBER BUSINESS Nicole Plourde asked if the Girls and Boys Ice Hockey games would be broadcast at the middle school. The Superintendent explained there was a fee associated with this and that it had not been set up. She informed the Board that the games would be available for viewing on line.
Lynn Moore congratulated the Unified Basketball team for a great season.
STAFFING On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:
RESIGNATIONS:
Denise Doucette – Music Teacher – Brown School
Leah Bouchard – Speech – Hillside School
The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURN On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Scott Losier, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 4:12 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
