A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Office of the Superintendent at 7:15 a.m. Present for the meeting were Nicole Plourde, Lynn Moore, Louise Valliere, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, Donald Labrecque, and Kevin Carpenter
MINUTES On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the June18, 2015 meeting public and nonpublic sessions. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, June 29, June 30, and July 1, 2015 for the amounts of $246,097.25, $210,512.57, and $25,750.00 respectively. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
STAFFING On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:
Resignation:
Teacher Nomination:
Kristin Lay – English Teacher - BHS
Nomination:
Kimberley Turgeon – Administrative Assistant – Project AWARE
Renomination:
Craig Melanson – Athletic Director - BHS
Discussion ensued regarding options for filling future teaching positions and use of Athletic Director services in relation to future retirements and potential decrease in enrollment.
The motion passed unanimously.
All nominations are contingent on the applicant passing a background check.
ADJOURN On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 7:48 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.
