A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library at 6:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Nicole Plourde, Lynn Moore, Louise Valliere, Donald Labrecque, Denise Valerino, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, Amy Huter, Julie King, Martha Miller, Tim Forestall, Gary Bisson, Dan Record, Roland Pinette, Cheryl Pinette, Kevin Carpenter, and a member of the press.
MINUTES On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2015 meeting, public and nonpublic sessions; amended to clarify Lynn Moore abstaining from the vote on a second Manifest Educational Hardship request. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, March 2, 2015 and March 9, 2015 for the amounts of $2,065.22 and $323,723.30. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
FINANCIAL REPORT The Board reviewed and approved the financial report
COMMENTS None
FY 16 BUDGET The Board directed the administration to look at the possible financial savings of offering an early retirement incentive of $10,000.
SUPER’S REPORT The Superintendent and administration reviewed the results of the NH Department of Education visiting team.

NON PUBLIC On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to go into nonpublic session at 6:20 p.m. in accordance with RSA 91-A3II, (a), (b) & (c). On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to come out of nonpublic session at 7:12 p.m. The motion passed unanimously. No additional votes were taken in nonpublic session.
STAFFING On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to approve the following staffing:

Stacy Couture – Educational Assistant – Brown School
The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURN On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 7:15 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.

NONPUBLIC SESSION
March 4, 2015
On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to go into nonpublic session at 6:20 pm in accordance with RSA 91-A3II (a), (b), and (c). On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
The Board reviewed staffing.
The Board discussed a student issue. The parent did not attend this discipline hearing. The Board came to consensus to continue off site tutoring at the Berlin Public Library until a court determination based on the charges filed.
On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to come out of nonpublic session at 7:12 p.m.~ The motion passed unanimously.~
