A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:40 p.m. Present for the meeting were Nicole Plourde, Louise Valliere, Donald Labrecque, Lynn Moore, Denise Valerino, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, Paul Bousquet, Pauline Plourde, Amy Huter, Gary Bisson, Dan Record, Roland Pinette, Cheryl Pinette, Patricia Shute, Stephanie Price, Julie King, Sandy Pouliot, Heather Piche, Robert Malloy, Nancy Brannen, Georgia Caron, Lucie Remillard, Wendy Reardon, Michele Lamphere, Peter Donovan, Isyss Remillard, Anne Marie Morin, Claude Morin, Tim Forestall and members of the press.
MINUTES On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Denise Valerino, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2014 meeting, public and non- public sessions. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, June 23, and June 24, 2014 for the amounts of $376,934.79, and $210,512.57. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
FINANCIAL REPORT The Board reviewed and approved the financial report. .
COMMENTS None
CRITICAL SHORTAGE On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Donald Labecque, the Board voted to obtain a critical shortage waiver from the NH Department of Education for the position of guidance counselor. Due to the first vote being unclear a roll call vote was called. Donald Labrecque, Nicole Plourde, and Louise Valliere voted in the affirmative, and Denise Valerino and Lynn Moore voted in the negative. The motion passed by a 3 to 2 margin.
SUPER’S REPORT The Superintendent informed the Board of the following issues:
- NH Educator’s Statewide Summer Summit
Louise Valliere requested a synopsis of what was done at this Keene State College conference

MEMBER BUSINESS None
NON PUBLIC On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Lynn Moore, the Board voted to go into nonpublic session at 6:54 p.m. in accordance with RSA 91-A3II, (a), (b) & (c). On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to come out of nonpublic session at 7:29p.m. The motion passed unanimously. No additional votes were taken in nonpublic session
STAFFING On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:
