A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Office of the Superintendent beginning at 12:15 p.m. Present for the meeting were, Nicole Plourde, Nathan Morin, Karin Dorval, and Bryan Lamirande.
MINUTES On a motion by Nathan Morin, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the June 16, 2011 meeting, public and nonpublic sessions. Nicole Plourde, and Nathan Morin, voted in the affirmative; Karin Dorval abstained.
WARRANTS On a motion by Nathan Morin, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, June 27, 2011, June 30, 2011 and July 1, 2011 for the amounts of $3,935.07, $586,796.19, and $210,512.57 respectively. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
BREAD BID On a motion by Nathan Morin, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to award the Bread Bid for the 2011-2012 school year to Bimbo Foods Inc (Freihofer). The motion passed unanimously.
STAFFING On a motion by Karin Dorval, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:
NOMINATIONS:
Jessica Lozeau – Cafeteria Cook - BJHS
Pauline Kochaniec – Cafeteria Cook - BHS
Paul Laflamme – Custodian – Hillside Nights
All nominations are contingent on the applicant passing a criminal record check.
The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURN On a motion by Nathan Morin, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 1:15 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
