A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Office of the Superintendent beginning at 6:30 a.m. Present for the meeting were Mitch Couture, Martha Laflamme, Nathan Morin, John Moulis, and Marion Huntley.
WARRANTS A motion was made by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nathan Morin, to approve the warrants dated October 20, and October 27, 2008 for the amounts of $1,467.74 and $78,868.70 respectively. Discussion ensued regarding Adobe training and how and when sports uniforms are replaced. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
COMMENTS None
NEW BUSINESS The Board inquired if the last Board meeting had been posted. They were informed that the normal posting procedures had been followed for that meeting.
The Board requested that the administration have a discussion with coaches regarding the affordability of meals for traveling teams.
Discussion was held on the potential of installing lights at the track and the potential of funding from PSNH. Mr. Moulis will speak with Laura Viger on this issue since it involves the recreation department.
ADJOURN On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to adjourn it's meeting at 7:25 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.
