A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Mitch Couture, Nicole Plourde, Martha Laflamme, John Moulis, Marion Y. Huntley, Steve Michaud, Corinne Cascadden, Tim Forestall, John Donaldson, Dan Record, Beverly Dupont, Roland Pinette, Cheryl Pinette, Jane Provencher, and members of the press.
MINUTES Approval of minutes was tabled until the next meeting due to there not being a quorum of members who attended the February 6, 2008 meeting.
WARRANTS A motion was made by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Martha Laflamme to approve the warrants dated February 25, and March 10, 2008, for the amounts of $3,051.50 and $280,510.20 respectively. Discussion ensued regarding a charge from NHIAA. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
COMMENTS None
¾ TON TRUCK The Superintendent withdrew the request at this time.
SUPER REPORT Nicole Plourde will be the Board representative for the Staff Professional Development Committee.
The Superintendent reminded the Board of the March 10th Budget Presentation to the City Council.
Marion Huntley joined the meeting at this time.
The CTE Youth Group report from Roland Pinette was well received by the Board.
Information from the NHSBA attorney was given to the Board for the information.
COMMENTS None
NEW BUSINESS The Superintendent gave the Board an update on the status of the school buildings and snow loads on the roofs. They are checking to see if a dehumidifier is necessary at Brown School. Nicole Plourde stated that this is another reason why we need to move ahead and get our students out of those buildings.
NON PUBLIC The Board decided not to go into Nonpublic session.
STAFFING On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nicole Plourde, the Board voted to accept the following staffing changes:

ADJOURN On a motion by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Martha Laflamme, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 6:35 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
