A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Mitch Couture, Nicole Plourde, Nathan Morin, Brian Leclerc, Martha Laflamme, John Moulis, Marion Y. Huntley, Steve Michaud, Corinne Cascadden, Gary Bisson, Tim Forestall, John Donaldson, Dan Record, Beverly Dupont, Roland Pinette, Cheryl Pinette, Jane Provencher, and members of the press.
MINUTES On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nicole Plourde, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the November 28, 2007 meeting, public and nonpublic sessions. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS A motion was made by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Brian Leclerc, to approve the warrant dated December 10, 2007 for the amount of $180,359.68. Roland Pinette explained the Geneva Logic license. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
COMMENTS None
SUPER REPORT The Assistant Superintendent updated the Board on the district tipping fees. The Board requested another update at their second meeting in March.

NEW BUSINESS Brian Leclerc gave praise to three students and the STC and Business Dept. for their work on the Notre Dame Arena web page. It is a good joint effort.
Brian Leclerc is also concerned about the faculty parking on Eighth and Norway Streets. Discussion ensued about the congestion on those streets. He also mentioned that the parking on Willard Street was horrendous.
STAFFING On a motion by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Martha Laflamme, the Board voted to accept the following staffing changes:

All nominations are contingent on the person passing a criminal record check. The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURN On a motion by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 6:25 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
