A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Office of the Superintendent beginning at noon. Present for the meeting were Mitch Couture, Nicole Plourde, Brian Leclerc, Nathan Morin, John Moulis, and Marion Y. Huntley.
WARRANT A motion was made by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Nathan Morin, to approve the warrant dated June 25, 2007 for the amount of $221,793.94. Discussion ensued regarding the tuition costs for Berlin students taking courses at Gorham High School. The Board would also like to have some feedback from the students to see if the classes are worthwhile. On a roll call vote all members voted in the affirmative.
STAFFING On a motion by Brian Leclerc, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to accept the following staffing changes.
TEACHER NOMINATIONS:
Jamie Welch – Science Teacher – BJHS
NOMINATIONS:
Nicole Arguin – Science Dept Head - BJHS
All nominations are contingent on the person passing a criminal record check.
ADJOURN On a motion by Brian Leclerc, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to adjourn its meeting at 12:30 p.m.
