The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was called to order by Vice Chairman Soter at 7:00 PM in the Arcand Meeting Room. All members were present except Mr. Connor.
On a Mayhew/Featherston motion, the Board unanimously voted to reappoint Larry Sposato to the Board of Registrars, Republican member.
On a Spencer/Mayhew motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the following abatements: municipal water, $18,397.95; municipal sewer, $3,952.47; residential sewer, $535.08; residential water, $489.26 and residential trash, $3084.99.
On a Mayhew/Featherston motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the minutes of April 28th as submitted.
Public Hearing – application of JCAC Enterprises, LLC d/b/a Resellables for a Second Hand Dealer’s License, 163 Mendon St.
Mr. Soter read the public hearing notice.
Christine and Jason Chadler stated they own a second hand business named Resellables at 163 Mendon Street. They stated they do not purchase any merchandise at their business. Merchandise is acquired from homes and estates that need to be cleaned out. Mr. & Mrs. Chadler stated they do not deal in any type of jewelry.
Board members asked if they had met with a member of the Police Dept. and they answered in the affirmative.
Mr. Soter asked if there was anyone present to speak on this application. No one responded.
On a Featherston/Mayhew motion, the Board unanimously voted to close the public hearing. On a Featherston/Mayhew motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the application of JCAC Enterprises, LLC d/b/a Resellables for a Second Hand Dealer’s License, 163 Mendon St.
On a Mayhew/Featherston motion, the Board unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 PM.
