CALL TO ORDER Ms. Leclair called the meeting to order at 7:21 pm.
MINUTES A motion was made by Ms. Leclair to approve the minutes from January 10, 2017. Her motion was seconded by Mr. Lavallee and the motion carried.
DISCUSSION Ms. Leclair presented all Committee members with a copy of the updated regulations. This draft consisted of amendments and revisions from the previous Livestock Regulation meeting that was on January 10, 2017.
The Committee reviewed this draft and decided on additional changes and revisions that should be made. Most of the draft was ready to be finalized but some verbiage needed to be revised in particular sections, such as the Fines and Penalties section, as well as the proper burial procedures for livestock. The Committee also made additional revisions to the livestock permitting procedures and details portion of the regulation.
Mr. Kupfer discussed the proposed zoning changes that were developed from the previous meeting’s discussion. Mr. Kupfer and the Committee agreed that while these changes may be beneficial they are not much different than that of the existing zoning. The Committee recommended that the Town allow time for the new Board of Health regulations to be implemented and then further evaluate if a zoning change is truly necessary.
Mr. Lavallee was making the necessary revisions to the current draft during the meeting and forwarded a copy to all Committee members via email so that everybody could have an updated copy and be able to confirm that all changes were made.
The Committee agreed to have another follow-up meeting after putting together all of tonight’s revisions before presenting a final copy to appropriate departments.
ADJOURNMENT Ms. Leclair moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:13 pm. Her motion carried by all Committee members.
