Meeting Minutes
9 July 2013 held at Wrentham Manor
- Call to Order at 6:03 p.m.
- Roll Call: Mrs. Sacco and Mrs. Lavallee absent
- Minutes of June 11, 2013 meeting
- Motion to accept minutes made by Mr. Hall, seconded by Mr. Sposato, all in favor.
- Mr. Sposato asked for clarification in regard to the check registers. Mrs. Bergeron stated that the registers are for the checks signed from the prior month.
- Mrs. Bergeron reported that the accountant explained that the net income (under total operating expenditures) is the actual profit the agency makes. All line items under that are expense are from reserve.
- Estimated income loss in the MRVP program is not unusual; the state does not give the agency enough administrative money for that program.
- Executive Director’s Report
- Status quo in regard to administrative duties
- Introduction of Ms. Arcand as Administrative Assistant
- Annual recertification process is complete
- Annual Unit inspections will begin in the fall (extreme weather not conducive for inspections)
- Current vacancies at 13WM and 71WM will be occupies by August 1st; both will be 2nd floor transfers
- Preconference meeting is scheduled for July 18, 2013 for the Wrentham Manor Sidewalk/Paving; anticipated completion should be the end of August
- Vinyl siding/gutter replacement complete at 115/117 Center St
- Mrs. Cartier requested clarification in regard to delinquent rent in the amount of $3,131.00. Mrs. Bergeron explained that the tenant is on a repayment agreement.
- Mrs. Bergeron is requesting a week vacation effective August 5 through August 9, 2013.
- Mr. Godbout inquired about parking spot numbers. However, that is part of our modernization project. All the staff is doing a nice job. A few lights are out (still); curious what the procedure is to resolve the issue. Mrs. Bergeron will take of this issue.
- Any other business that may legally come before the board
- Mr. Sposato had the opportunity to visit Oxford Housing Authority recently and was impressed by the fact that the property was not maintained very well. Therefore, he would like to compliment the board, staff and residents at Bellingham Housing Authority for keeping the property neat and clean.
- August meeting is cancelled; next meeting will be September 10, 2013 at Depot Court
