  • Mr. Guzowski inquired about Miscellaneous Income and why the budget was set so high; Mrs. Bergeron stated that the report is only as of 2/29/2012.
  • Executive Director’s Report
  • Administrative: Submitted DHCD Vacancy reports, DHCD Energy reports, MRVP request for funds, Form HUD-50058, and financial data to Richard Conlon for month ending 2/29/2012.
  • Ch. 607 Housing: Five vacancies at 667-1 and one vacancy at 667-2.
The Family and MRVP waiting list is anticipated to be open on April 16, 2012. A temporary part-time administrative assistant will be hired to assist in the process.
The Eagle Tribune article expanded with additional information about Chelsea and states “…state supervision seemed virtually nonexistent.” Mrs. Bergeron explained that, yes, Chelsea was not properly audited. However, to state that all agencies are not under scrutiny on a daily basis is a falsehood. Mrs. Lavallee stated that budgets are sent to Boston for approval; therefore, the financial aspects of agencies budget examinations should be reviewed by the state.

  • Public Input
  • Mrs. Penney asked why the maintenance staff is taking so long to clean apartments. Mr. Swain and Mrs. Bergeron explained that units do not always need just cleaning. Another issue is that many transfers are occurring which makes two vacancies.


Any other business
  • Mr. Guzowski, on behalf of the Policemen’s Association, would like to thank those who attended the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon. He would also like to thank those who volunteered to serve at the luncheon.
