Sherwood Greens Road District Minutes 5/12/12
SHERWOOD GREENS ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
May 12, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 9:06 AM.
Present were committee members: David Neelon, John Kammerman, Terry Hayden and Betsy Epstein. Also present were: Jeanne Pryor, Treasurer; Mary White, Clerk; Richard Pryor, Margaret Rodriquez, Kathleen Post, and Deb and Mark Schultz.
The minutes were reviewed and accepted.
Treasurer’s report:
It was moved and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s report --voted unanimously.
Warrant:
The warrant was signed.
Road Report:
Since the Road Superintendant was not in attendance, there was no road report. There was however, some discussion about the condition of the entryway.  While we do not have the funds to do much work, the work OK’d by FEMA was never completed, so when we receive the funds, some of it can go to completing the work on the entryway. Jeanne cautioned that FEMA funds must be spent exactly as specified. Richard Pryor, who has been working with FEMA, will meet with Ernie to discuss just what can and cannot be done with these funds.
David said that the Ca Cl treatment done on the section of Long Bow West where he lives the road has, on the whole, been very successful, and wondered if we should do the same thing to the entryway.
Since the work needing to be done at this time is under $25,000.00, Jeanne will E-Mail three contractors for bids.

Lakes Report:

There was no lakes report.

Budget for Annual District Meeting:

The budget for the Annual Meeting was reviewed and the warrant was signed.

Building Inspector Comments:

There was much discussion about unimproved roads. Apparently, we may improve unimproved roads, but we are not obliged to do so.
John will draft a letter to the Town of Becket Building Inspector asking that we be notified of building permits being issued for property in the Greens.

Call for Candidates for Election:

A slate of officers was established pending approval at the Annual District Meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11: 49 AM.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary S. White
District Clerk
