  • Rob followed up with Bill Mulholland about Revolutionary War names from Becket – Rob was unable to find Private Cemetery info – Rita will search our files  - Bill wants a copy of these records to do research
Gift Account
Rob brought up the issue of the Historical Commission’s Gift Account – there is still money still being put into the gift account, which is an issue. A discussion ensued about what to do. There was disagreement about whether or not the Historical Commission can sell items or accept funds. Rita will research further. It was agreed that we should not have a gift account or accrue money in it. Rita will instruct Nina to continue to sell the walking tour books and maps, but to give the proceeds to her. Rita will set up a separate account for use by a Historical Society or some other entity other than the Historical Commission.
Old Business
  • Rita spoke to Lauren regarding the Jacobs Ladder Trail signs – Rita looked at existing signs and noted that most were in good repair or were slated to be replaced already. Lauren is checking on the obelisk (accident sign) about whether it can be redone /re-etched. Laruen will also look to see if a sign at the intersection of 8&20 could be made to direct people to the Becket Center & North Becket Historic Districts.  Lauren is looking into what they can fund and will get back to us.
  • Aaron will look for a cord for the printer/copier
