TREASURER’S REPORT
  • We have approximately $390 left in our account. As the new fiscal year begins July 1, 2012, this money will go back to the town.
LOCATION OF OFFICE
  • No new news on the proposed moving of the Historical Commission Office
CIVIL WAR MONUMENT
  • There was a brief discussion on the best way to raise funds for this project. We discussed having a presence at the Town Fair. We also discussed putting an article on the next annual town meeting. Seeing as the Federated Church and the Athenaeum are currently asking residents for donations, we decided to begin a casual fundraising effort. Rita moved that if our fundraising efforts do not bring in the funds we need, that we put an article on the next annual town meeting asking for the funds to proceed with the monument. Rob seconded and the motion passed. Rita will also try and procure a picture of a similar monument for illustrative purposes.
