Community Preservation Committee Meeting

Minutes of Sept. 13, 2010 meeting approved.
Mercedes gave a most promising report on the Center Lake Weed removal project partially paid for by this last year’s CPA fund. The lake is in good shape, but hand pulling will continue next season. Great job by Mercedes and helpers, both paid and volunteers.
Rita Furlong gave an update on the progress at the Mullen House. Siding removal, siding installed, new windows, and the start of internal improvements has occurred. Many volunteers from the community have participated. Funding for the continuance will be sought from the CPA this next year.
So far only one proposal has been received: Mullen House Education Center
The final date to receive proposals is January 31st.
We agreed to have the Public Hearing on new proposals on February 2nd, 2011 at 6:30 p. m. just prior to the selectmen’s meeting. We will have our next board meeting that same day at 6:00p.m. to familiarize ourselves with all proposals.
