  • Present: Rob Gorden ,Rita Furlong, Bob Podolski, Ann Krawet, Bill Cavanaugh, Neil Toomey
  • Business: Following the public hearing for the proposed projects before the CPC
  • The Board approved the $5500 project proposed by Mercedes Gallaugher for an invasive weed pulling project. A discussion followed whether to fund the project as a three year project or as a yearly project. The Board felt funding the whole cost now and paying out the annual funds needed each year was the best approach. Neil will contact the CPC Coalition for input Proper wording for the article on the town warrant will also be discussed.
  • The Board approved the Mullen House repair project presented by Ken Smith and Ann Smith. The project cost is for $25,000. The repairs are for the replacement of windows, replacement of  the vinyl siding with wooden clap
  • Boards, insulation, and structural repairs.
  • The Board approved the proposal by Meredith Babcock and The Becket Land Trust for the funds necessary to protect and acquire a right of way to the Becket Gorge. The project cost is $8000. The funds will be used for deed research and survey costs.
  • The three projects will be drawn up as articles for the annual town meeting on 5-8-10. Rita will work with Tony Blair on constructing the articles for the town warrant.
  • The next meeting will be on Monday, May 3d, 2010, @ 7:00p.m.
  • The meeting was adjourned at 8:30p.m.
