BOARD OF FINANCE
SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 9, 2011


I.      CALL TO ORDER

A Special Meeting of the Board of Finance was called to order by Chairman Harrison at 6:00 p.m. in the Selectmen’s Chamber, Avon Town Hall.  Members present:  Margaret Bratton and Catherine Durdan, Messrs: Eisenlohr, Gugliotti, and Hooper.

Mr. Harrison reported that the Board of Finance met jointly this evening with the Town Council to discuss Alfred Storm Recovery and to act upon a resolution regarding the payment of the Storm Debris Removal Contract.  The Board of Finance participated with the Town Council in discussion of this request for an appropriation.

IV.      REQUEST FOR AN APPROPRIATION

On a motion made by Mr. Harrison, seconded by Mrs. Bratton, it was voted:
RESOLVED:  That the Board of Finance hereby approves an appropriation for Storm Debris Removal in the amount of $1,476,190 based upon the recommendation of the Town Council.
Catherine Durdan and Margaret Bratton, Messrs: Harrison, Gugliotti, Hooper and Eisenlohr voted in favor.

V.      ADJOURNMENT

The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
