BOARD OF FINANCE – SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES
JUNE 4, 2003
I. CALL TO ORDER – Chairman Harrison called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. Present were members Tom Gugliotti, Steve McGuff, Michael Monts, Jim Speich and Mark Zacchio. Member Bill Hooper was absent.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Chairman Harrison waived reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
III. OLD BUSINESS
02/03-04 Fy2003/2004 Budget – Set Tax Rate (28.3 Mills)
The Chairman commented on the passage of the Budget by a margin of 215 votes, and it is now necessary that we set a tax rate to accommodate the budget.
On a motion made by Mr. McGuff, seconded by Mr. Zacchio, it was voted:
RESOLVED: That the Board of Finance set the Tax Rate for the 2003/2004 budget at 28.3 mills.
Messrs. Harrison, Gugliotti, McGuff, Monts, Speich and Zacchio voted in favor.
Mr. Harrison thanked the members for their work with the Town Council and Board of Education to develop this budget.
IV. ADJOURN – There being no further business, the chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 8:12 p.m.
