Avon Senior Center to receive Neighborhood Assistance Act Funds
The Senior Center has been awarded funds through the Neighborhood Assistance Act Program!  Connecticare is coming to the Senior Center on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. to present Jennifer Bennett, Senior Center Coordinator, with a check for $1,958.85 for Superior Synchronized Seniors- A Technology Dream, which will enable them to get new computers, webcams and (possibly) a new printer for the senior computer room.

The Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Tax Credit Program provides funding for municipal and tax exempt organizations by offering a corporate business tax credit for businesses that make cash contributions to these entities.  Businesses can receive a credit of 60% of their approved contribution to certain programs approved by the Department of Revenue Services.
