PRESS RELEASE
The Farmington Greenway trail in Avon between Country Club Road at the north and Scoville Road to the south will be closed due to a Connecticut Department of Transportation culvert replacement project from October 25, 2010 to December 6, 2010 (see inset map below).
The purpose of the project is to replace a collapsed drainage culvert that crosses from one side of the trail to the other.
The project is funded completely by the Connecticut DOT and was scheduled to allow completion of the work, including re-pavement of the trail, before winter weather.
