Meeting called to order at 5:16 p.m. by Commissioner.

-Minutes of the April Board meeting approved; motion/seconded: Anthony DeCaro, Judah Rodriquez-Sierra

-Monthly intakes (45) on various issues including: employment/termination, County Jail problems, renting, landlord/tenant issues, etc…..from individuals contacting the office in person or via the telephone.

Heidi Nightingale-  Contacted Heidi Nightingale from Cayuga County Safe Schools/Healthy Student program and inquired of any “leftover” money that may be available for an upcoming multicultural program AHR is producing. She stated that any extra money in their coffers has to be used to further develop any programs that the Safe Schools group has in place.

Monthly Budget Report- Copy of budget included for review.

Sandra Souder consultation- Consulted with Sandra Souder concerning grant writing and funding. Ms. Souder is a former Sr. Investigator and Project Coordinator-Witness Protection Program from the Onondaga County District Attorney

Unity House of CC, Inc.- Attended Unity House of Cayuga County, Inc., Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors with guest speakers LuPoley-Supportive Apartment Manager of Tompkins County and Tom C. Unity House celebrates 25 years of service to the community.

Juneteenth Day- Juneteenth Day mailings to area schools and churches. Media pieces are being completed and will be mailed in mid May. Service organization announcements pending.

2001 Annual Report- 2001 Annual Report is completed. We should have the publication by mid May.

AHR Fundraiser Scholarship Update-

Harriet Tubman, Inc.- Attended Harriet Tubman, Inc. welcome of Ward Dewitt, Director of the Board of Directors. Mr. Dewitt outlined the short and long term plans of the incorporation with goals of promoting the works and legacy of Harriet Tubman.

John Salomone- Contacted John Salomone, City Manager with concerns for the pending budget while citing the need for fund increases on various line appropriations. There was no response to HR concerns.
