Meeting called to order at 5:05 p.m. by Commissioner.

-Minutes of the March Board meeting approved; motion/seconded: Anthony DeCaro, Zan Liebowitz

-Monthly intakes (59) on various issues including: employment/termination, County Jail problems, HSBC questions, requests for legal assistance, renting, landlord/tenant issues, etc…..from individuals contacting the office in person or via the telephone.

-2002-2003 Budget hour and total much more than the $12,000 requested. As requested, AHR provided all parties with the fee quotes from 3 different investigative agencies as follows:

Bellerdine Investigative Agency (Auburn, NY)
Hotchkiss, Stone & Longtin, LL,C.(Jordan, NY)
Eric McLean Investigative (Brewerton, NY)
For example: a past housing discrimination case required a years time for in-office investigation, phone calls, on site interviews, investigation, conferences with CNY Fair Housing, HUD, and NYS Div. of Human Rights

AHR has met with Sales Rep (Bob Cooper) from MDI. The price quote was to be based upon a 100 lb. glossy stock. His original quote is on matte finish. He will contact the office with the proper quote. Additionally, waiting for statistical information from Legal Services of CNY. Annual Report is expected to be released in late Spring, 2002.

Board Member Comments: Wegmans will sponsor our reception for the 5th year at the Harriet Tubman grounds. Fr. Mack suggested that a card should be sent for Martha Shosa (living history players) re: Juneteenth Day.
