Motion for the approval of the May 11, 2010 minutes made by Jim Hutchinson, seconded Paul McDonald. All members vote approval. Motion carried.
Certificates of Appropriateness
1. 130 South St.
Corner of South and Swift St. Former ARC. Replace roof on garage. Current asphalt. Replace with metal. Not visible from the street. Match metal on the awnings. Garage not of historical or architectural significance.
Motion for approval made by Jim Hutchinson, seconded by Paul McDonald. All members vote approval. Motion carried.
2. 88 South St.
Original application made in 2006. Applicant told application was incomplete and to provide more information including a sample of materials to be used. Applicant never followed through. This is in court now. The Board has been directed to make a decision regarding the railing based on information present. Staff proposes ‘D’ as the best choice.
Jim Hutchinson – concerned with the height. D is too high and won’t look right. Thinks ‘C’ is the better choice.
General discussion.
Jim Hutchinson makes a motion for approval of choice ‘C’, seconded by Betty Lewis. All members vote approval. Motion carried.
