Auburn Economic Development Zone Board
October 15, 2007
Present: Arlene Ryan, Mike Trapani, Ann Kubarek, Tom McNabb, Tom Ganey, Jeff Delbel, Judy Wright.

Thomas Clary DDS – Tom Clary and Dan Fleischman, CPA – Dr. Clary has moved his office from South St. to Genesee St. and increased employment and hopes to increase hours. Will be increasing employment further over the next 1 to 3 years and will be adding to the office space.
Discussion ensues. Business meets the CBA ratio and criteria required in the Development Policy.
Tom Ganey asks for a motion approving Dr. Clary’s application. So moved by Jeff Delbel, seconded by Mike Trapani. All members vote approval. Motion carried.
Walgreen’s East – phone conference with Audrey Johnson, assistant manager – Walgreen’s plans to build another store on the west end of Auburn. There will be 16 full time and 9 part time employees that they plan on increasing. Benefits are given to full time employees working 30 hours or more.
Janet McDermot – not just retail positions
Audrey Johnson – 2 pharmacists, manager and staff, full time technician, store manager, assistant manager who is usually in training for another store, 2 assistant managers, head photo specialist, photo specialist, head beauty advisor, software and clerks.
Discussion ensues. Business meets CBA ratio.
Tom Ganey asks for a motion to approve the application. So moved by Mike Trapani, seconded by Judy Wright. Motion carried.
Bruce Sherman – next meeting November 13, 2007 as the 12th is Veteran’s Day.
