Roll Call – Councilor Graney, Councilors McNabb, Smith, Dempsey and Mayor Lattimore – Present.
Staff Members Present – Mike Long Interim City Manager, Tom Leone Corporation Counsel, Debra McCormick City Clerk, Lisa Green, Comptroller.
All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The Mayor asked for a moment of silence.

Public Announcements -
Mayor Lattimore reported that he and Interim City Manager Mike Long traveled to Albany to receive a $1,797,510 Restore New York grant award from the State.
Mayor Lattimore complimented the Auburn High School Maroons Football team on their win this past weekend.
Mayor Lattimore asked Chuck Mace, Chairman of the Auburn Industrial Development Agency (AIDA), if he would like to update Council on AIDA activities. Mr. Mace spoke to clarify reports that his commission members used AIDA funds to attend a fundraising event for a local Catholic school.
City Manager’s Report – Mike Long Interim City Manager reported the following:
· He asked that Agenda Item 12 B – authorizing the appointment of a Fire Chief to be pulled.
· He commented on the Fire Chief position.
· Announced that the Police Chief would report to Council on a request for additional staff at next weeks meeting.
· Invited Lon Fricano, of TLC ambulance service to report on ambulance activity and service.
· Chief Giannotta reported that the City is looking at traffic problems created by the Dunkin Donuts Drive thru.
· Members of the Public Power Agency traveled to Jamestown to visit and learn what initiatives they have done.

Public to be heard –
Bill Hecht, Union Springs – spoke to Council on several issues; the value of the Wadsworth Street property and the Willard Chapel; he asked the City do what needs to be done to preserve each; He commented on the Kayak Park, he thinks the location should be reconsidered; he spoke about the value of land on the outlet above Hunters Diner; he also asked the city to consider locking up the natural gas lease rights with in the City of Auburn.
Lon Fricano, TLC Ambulance Service spoke about Auburn’s Ambulance Service, AIDA and the United Way.

~Resolutions
Agreement Resolution #260 of 2006 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Excellus Health Plan, Inc., for administrative services related to the retiree drug subsidy program application with Medicare. Vote: Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Dempsey and Mayor Lattimore, aye. CARRIED.
Appointment Resolution #261 of 2006 authorizing the City Manager to appoint Charles Mike Hammon as Fire Chief and to enter into an agreement for the terms of employment. Pulled.
Council Resolution #262 of 2006 authorizing the City Manager to hire a seasonal laborer as Rink Guard for the Department of Public Works/Recreation. Vote: Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Dempsey and Mayor Lattimore, aye. CARRIED.

Council Resolution #263 of 2006 approving the expenditures presented for payment and authorizing the Comptroller to process the payment of same. ~Vote: Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Dempsey and Mayor Lattimore, aye. CARRIED.

Other Business
Mayor Lattimore thanked Senator Nozzolio for his help with the Restore NY Grant award.
Councilor Smith asked for the status of permitting at the Landfill and the sales tax agreement with the County.
Council adjourned to executive session at 6:00PM and returned at 6:25PM.
