| COUNCIL MEETING #36 0F 2003 August 21, 2003 Work Session MEETING MEMORIAL CITY HALL 5:00PM 
 Roll Call - Councilor Jacobs, McNabb, Hunter - Present. Councilor Dempsey, Mayor Carnicelli absent. 
 Councilor McNabb sat in as Acting Mayor. 
 City Staff Present – John Salomone, City Manager; Corporation Counsel Thomas Leone, Corporation Counsel, City Clerk Debra McCormick.   Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag  
 Presentations and Proclamations – Acting Mayor McNabb read a proclamation to proclaim August 22 and 23 as Seneca Cayuga ARC Family Fun Days in the City of Auburn.   Kevin Smith representing the Seneca Cayuga ARC accepted and thanked Council. 
 Public Announcements – None. 
 Work Session  
 Acting Mayor McNabb announced that the work session portion of the meeting would be held at the Fire Training Center.  This required Council to adjourn and travel to the site, therefore, Council agreed to continue with other agenda items. 
 Other Business Councilor Jacobs suggested that the City Manager hold a “lessons learned” session with City Department Heads regarding the recent power outage. 
 Public to be Heard –  Tim Lattimore 7 Norman Ave. commented on the blackouts and suggested that if the City used solar panel energy it would not be affected by power outages.  He also called for the City, County and School District to work together on employee health insurance.

 Council adjourned at 5:20PM to travel to the Fire Training Center.
