Mayor Carnicelli read a memoriam for Michael F. Mancini who worked for the City of Auburn Street Department for 32 years retiring in 1985 as Superintendent. A copy of this memoriam will be sent to the Mancini Family.

Work Session
Financial Update
The City Manager reviewed the financial update for the quarter ending
September 20, 2002. Council discussed.
Council Update on New Recycling Facility
The City Manager, Mike Long, CIP Manager, and Frank DeOrio, Director of Municipal Utilities reviewed plans and updated Council on the new recycling facility and discussed the bid process.
Other Business
Mayor Carnicelli asked Frank DeOrio to comment on the musty smell of the city water in recent weeks. Mr. DeOrio explained that the summers high temperatures combine with the drought caused it and that it should be going away as the temperature goes down in a week or so.
Mayor Carnicelli distributed a memo to Council explaining that the Mayor and Council had not had a salary adjustment in 15 years. She requested that two resolutions come before council recommending raises.
