Present: Robert L. Edwards, Chair; John Robertson, Selectman
Staff: Donna Hanson, Town Administrator; Diane Chauncey, Town Clerk/Tax Collector.
Others Present: John Hatfield, Commerford, Nieder & Perkins

Land Use Change Tax
- Mr. Edwards thought the land on Mulhall Farm Road which was valued at $24,000 per lot was too low. Mr. Edwards said there was a lot on Turner Road valued at $25,000 and he thought the lots on Mulhall Farm Road would be worth more due to location and they are more buildable lots. Mr. Hatfield said he didn’t have any data to support raising the value any higher than they are. He explained how he came to the value and said he has to answer to Department of Revenue with back up on the values. Mr. Edwards said he still doesn’t agree but thanked Mr. Hatfield for coming in.
- Mr. Edwards asked Mr. Hatfield if he could turn around land use change tax in 30 days instead of waiting more than six months. Mr. Hatfield said he could but that might mean he would miss future sales which is why he would rather wait. He also said they have been extremely busy and shorthanded but that wasn’t the town’s problem. He will do this within thirty days in the future.
- Mr. Robertson moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 PM; Mr. Edwards seconded. Passed 3/0
