Meeting Minutes
Little Town Hall
September 10, 2018
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Selectboard Chair Robert Edwards in the Little Town Hall.
Members Present: Michael Genest, Robert Edwards, John Robertson
Staff Present: Donna Hanson, Town Administrator
Agenda Items:
- Mr. Robertson moved to approve the Minutes of August 27, 2018. Mr. Genest seconded. Passed 3/0
- Mr. Genest moved to approve the Non-Public Minutes of August 27, 2018. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0
- Mr. Robertson gave an update on the Planning board meeting. They discussed updating the master plan.
- Mr. Edwards reported on the Capital Improvement Committee meeting. They took a tour of the Fire department and the Police Department.
- Mr. Edwards also reported on the Water and Sewer meeting. They approved the use of South West Regional Planning for the software needed for the Asset Management program. This software will then be consistent with what Bennington will be using. Mr. Edwards said they found a well that may be acceptable. This might be brought forward as a warrant article for 2019.
- Mr. Robertson said he and Hancock Selectman Jim Jordan will meet with ConVal Superintendent Kimberly Saunders regarding the Selectmen’s Advisory Committee.
- Mr. Genest moved to have a public hearing to use the funds in the Emergency Capital Reserves for the increased cost of the Elm Street Bridge extension and Craig Road Bridge replacement. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0
- Mr. Genest moved to waive the fee for the Lions Club’s use of Town Hall for candidate’s night. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0
- Mr. Genest moved to go into non-public session RSA 91-A:3 II. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0
- Mr. Genest moved to seal the minutes from non-public session. Mr. Robertson seconded.
- Mr. Robertson moved to adjourn. Mr. Genest seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 pm.
