Meeting Minutes
March 12, 2018
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Selectman Michael Genest in the Little Town Hall.
Members Present: John Robertson, Michael Genest, Robert Edwards
Staff Present: Town Administrator, Donna Hanson
Others Present: Moderator Arthur Merrill
Agenda Items:
- Mr. Edwards moved to approve the minutes of February 26, 2018. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0.
- Mr. Edwards moved to approve the non-public minutes of February 26, 2018. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0.
- The town meeting warrant articles were reviewed with Mr. Merrill.
Other Business:
- Attorney Richardson previously informed Ms. Hanson that Jack Kenworthy from AWE doesn’t believe that clearing trees is considered the start of construction. Mr. Edwards’s attached notes explaining why he believes it is the start of construction. Mr. Genest and Mr. Robertson agree with his position. Ms. Hanson will ask Attorney Justin Richardson to send a letter to Antrim Wind LLC asking why the Town wasn’t notified of the start of construction. Ms. Hanson said the “notice of intent to cut” was issued on February 15, 2018. Ms. Hanson estimated the start of construction to be February 20, 2018.
- Attorney Norman Makechnie called Mr. Edwards regarding the road in front of Alabama Farm off Smith Road. The owners of Alabama Farm donated land to the town so that the public road would be farther from the Farm. They would like confirmation from the town stating that the previous road has been reclassified. Further research will be needed to determine if the road has been officially discontinued.
- After no further business Mr. Robertson moved to adjourn at 7:50 PM. Mr. Edwards seconded. Passed 3/0
