Meeting Minutes
June 4, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Eric Tenney in the Antrim Town Hall.

Members Present:        Mr. Tenney, Mr. Robertson & Mr. Genes

Staff present:          Galen Stearns (Town Administrator)

  • Mr. Genest motioned to approve the minutes of May 14, 2012, Mr. Robertson 2nd.  Passed 3/0
  • Mr. Genest motioned to approve the Sealed Non-public minutes of May 14, 2012, Mr. Robertson 2nd,.  Passed 3/0
Mr. Beblowski Chairman of the Conservation Commission
  • Informed the board that the Bennington Conservation Commission has contacted him looking for permission to establish / layout trails around the town wells on the land that Antrim owns.  The board referred him to the Water & Sewer Commission.
  • Informed the board that the Conservation Commission was higing a company (Moosewood Ecological) to perform a resource assessment for $2,500.
  • Mr. Stearns presented .the board with the request from the Recreation Director for hiring the summer beach and camp staff.   Mr. Genest motioned to hire the recommended summer staff for Parks and Recreation, Mr. Robertson 2nd.  Passed 3/0

  • Mr. Stearns presented a letter from Celeste Lunetta, Recreation Director listing donations that have been received for the board to accept.  Mr. Robertson motioned to accept the generous donations, Mr. Genest 2nd, Passed 3/0
  • Cathy Garland, Pulse Fitness for Women - $600
  • Tenneys TaeKwonDo - $517.50
  • Antrim Family Dental Care - $225
  • Antrim – Bennington Lions - $225
  • Tenney Farms - $250

  • Mr. Stearns presented a request from Sonja McKinlay requesting interest abatement for a property tax payment.  Mr. Stearns explained the confusion that resulted in a mix-up between the property owner and the Town and that the Tax Collector recommended abating the interest.  Mr. Tenney motioned to abate $150.72 to Ms. McKinlay, Mr. Genest 2nd, passed 3/0
The board discussed the summer meeting schedule and set the following dates for meetings:
  • June 25,  2012
  • July 23, 2012
  • August 20, 2012.
  • There being no further business, Mr. Robertson motioned to adjourn, Mr. Genest 2nd, passed 3/0 meeting adjourned at 7:52 PM
