Town of Antrim – Board of Selectmen
Meeting Minutes
June 13, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Michael Genest in the Antrim Town Hall.
Members Present: Mr. Genest, Mr. Tenney and Mr. Robertson
Staff Present: Galen Stearns (Town Administrator)
- Mr. Genest explained that the BOS had held a workshop meet with members for the ZBA (no Planning Board members had shown up) to discuss the need for the planner’s position. Mr. Leveque and Mr. Lazar were present and expressed that due to a misunderstanding did not realize the workshop session was earlier. Mr. Genest stated that that ZBA had agreed that there was no pressing need to fill the planner’s position. Mr. Levesque and Mr. Lazar stated that they felt that the position should be filled. Mr. Genest stated that the selectmen believe that with the current economy and work load that any applications received can be dealt with by contracting with either Southwest Region Planning Commission or a consultant.
- Mr. Robertson motioned and Mr. Tenney 2nd to approve the minutes of May 16, 2011. Passed 3/0
Diane Chauncey Planning Assistant presented the Hazard Mitigation Plan that was updated with the help of Lisa Murphy from the Southwest Region Planning Commission. Mr. Robertson motioned and Mr. Tenney seconded to approve the updated plan. Passed 3/0
Mr. Stearns presented a request from Ms. Annie Law requesting that the selectmen approve a release of Municipal Responsibilities for building on a Class VI road for lot # 208-012 similar to the one signed for lot 208-015. Mr. Robertson motioned to approve, Mr. Tenney seconded. Passed 3/0
- Mr. presented the recommended hiring for Parks and Recreation seasonal employees. Mr. Robertson motioned to hire the personnel as recommended by Celeste, Mr. Genest seconded. Passed 3/0. The following personnel were hired:
