Town of Antrim – Board of Selectmen
Meeting Minutes
December 21, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Stephen Schacht at the Antrim Town Hall.
Members Present: Steven Schacht, Gordon Webber, and Michael Genest
Staff Present: Galen Stearns (Town Administrator)
1. The board noted the passing of Stephen Blood, Highway worker and expressed condolences to his family.
2. Budget workshop:
· CIP committee stated that they are still working on the plan and would present at a later date.
· Police Department – Chief Lester presented the PD budget which is 2.8% lower than the 2009 budget. Chief Lester stated that the Expedition cruiser would not be replaced as planned in 2010 and that the Citizens Police Academy would not be held this year.
· Highway Department – Chip Craig presented the Highway budget which is 21% less than the 2009 budget. Selectman Genest questioned if the General Government maintenance workers hours could be reduced to part-time (20 hours per week) during the winter months, October through April, and as needed for snow removal. TA and Road Agent will discuss.
There being no further business, the Board decided by consensus to adjourn
at 7:00 p.m.
