Selectmen Meeting Minutes
March 17, 2008
Present: M. Genest, S. Schacht, G. Webber, W. Prokop, B. Brown, C. Brown
1. The selectmen approved the minutes of the meeting of March 10th.
2. The selectmen welcomed Gordon Webber as the new member of the Board. They then moved to elect M. Genest as Chairman for the upcoming year. S. Schacht will be the selectmen’s representative on the Planning Board and M. Genest will be the selectmen’s representative on the Conval/Selectmen’s Advisory Board and the Regional Prosecution Committee, G. Webber will be the representative to the Park and Recreation Commission.
3. The selectmen reviewed the goals that they have established for 2008 and asked Gordon Webber if he had any additions that he would like to make.He did not have any at this time.
5. The following is the April schedule for Selectmen’s meeting:
a. April 7th – Open
b. April 21st – Open
The meetings will have a new starting time of 5:00 P.M.
4. The selectmen were advised of the advertising that will take place for 2 part-time positions – a Deputy Town Clerk. This person must be a Town resident, and a replacement for the Planning Assistant who will be leaving on 3/28. The selectmen will be asked within the next week to approve appointments to the Planning Board, Park & Recreation Commission, and the ZBA.
5. The selectmen voted to accept Mr. Jennison’s offer to pay in full all the state required fees and interest on his property off of Stoddard Road that was deeded by the Town.
6. The selectmen asked the Town Administrator to set up meetings with the department heads beginning in May for a general review of the individual departments, planned expenses, and budgets.
7. The selectmen approved the A/P and payroll for the week and reviewed miscellaneous correspondence.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
The next meeting will be April 7th at 5:00 P.M. There is no specific agenda set at this time.
