Selectmen Meeting Minutes
January 9, 2006
Present: R. Haggett, and B. Pratt
Also in attendance: W. Prokop, S. Cavanaugh, T. Feyrer
The selectmen opened the meeting at 7:00 P.M.
The selectmen approved the minutes of the December 18th meeting.
S. Cavanaugh was introduced to the selectmen by T. Feyrer as the officer that he wishes to appoint to the open part-time position on our police force. S. Cavanaugh introduced himself and gave a brief history of his background, training, and certifications as a NH police officer. He brings to our department many skills and the knowledge of an experienced officer. The board voted to approve his appointment as a part-time officer and he was then sworn into office by D. Hanson, acting Town Clerk/Tax Collector.
W. Prokop gave the board an update on the inspection conducted by Dawn Buker, Compliance Inspector, DES Wetlands Bureau regarding wetlands complaints filed by W. Neff, and M. Chauncey regarding the Town’s Storm Water Management practices. The inspector concluded that the Town is not in any violations and in fact is doing a very good job with its storm water and roadside drainage issues. A letter will be forthcoming from DES advising Mr. Neff and Mr. Chauncey of her findings.
The selectmen were advised that Primex is asking for a comment from them as to why they put “Risk Management” in our major goals for 2007. They wish to use this for an article they plan to publish this year.
The selectmen reviewed general correspondence and approved payroll and A/P for the week.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 01/15/07 at 7:00 P.M.
