Minutes
The minutes from the February 11, 2016 meeting were approved as written.
Budget
Warrant Article.  Celeste will be prepared to speak at Town Meeting in support of completing the installation of the lights at Shea Field. Isaac and Joan will also be available to speak in favor.
Shea Field
Maintenance.  Celeste ordered safety pads for the light towers. Delivery is expected by the end of March. Four of the pads will have “Antrim” printed on them. The fifth, to be placed on the West Street side, will have nothing printed on it. The field has now been closed until the turf is stable. The nighttime Egg Hunt will take place on Shea Field on April 1.
ConVal Agreement.  No progress has been made on an agreement with ConVal.
Town Gym
Update.  Celeste is still researching the purchase of a divider for the Town Gym.
Goodell Park
Eagle Scout Project.  The Eagle Scout project is still not finished. Gordon didn’t bring the matter up with the Selectboard. The board agreed that the proposed picnic table Life Scout project would be more appropriately placed in Memorial Park.
Memorial Park
Update.  The Spring Egg Hunt for the younger kids will be held on March 19 in Memorial Park. Joan has been talking with Avenue A Club Coordinator Arlene Soule about the kids doing an Earth Day cleanup in Memorial Park and perhaps earning some Community Service hours. The board was supportive, and Joan will continue to work with Arlene to come up with an appropriate project for the middle school boys.
Recreation Department
Update.  The basketball season wound up nicely and spring sports are under way. We will have Boys U11 lacrosse this year, but not Girls. The programs are being built at the younger level, and will feed into the program. The after school programs have been popular.
Gregg Lake
Beach/Boat Launch Issues.  Celeste is working on the Lake Host grant.
The next regularly scheduled Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting will be Thursday, April 14th at 7:00 pm at the Rec Office.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 pm.
