Antrim Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes
Monthly Meeting January 11th, 2005
In attendance: Sam Harding, Rick Wood, Peter Lamb, Sean Lowe, Celeste Lunetta; no public present
Meeting called to order at 7:12
Old Business:
Minutes from December meeting were read. Committee noted the omission of Celeste’s performance review.
2005 Budget meeting: attended by Peter & Celeste. Commission is questioning why so many meetings with selectmen as opposed to years past.
Reviewed baseball organization meeting for 2005: committee is planning to organize a baseball commission for a future meeting.
Digital camera for Rec. Dept.: Purchased in December, for adding content to website.
Richardson Trust Fund: Subsequent meeting with town administrator and Richardson Trust Fund trustees and showed all was in proper order. It was decided that each June the request would be made while in December expenses would be reviewed and balanced out to zero.
New Business:
Committee secretary: Sean has accepted the position of secretary for the Rec. Dept. committee.
Fire & Ice event: Celeste noted a few community members have expressed interest in running a children’s fishing derby. The possibility of switching the event to a different weekend was also discussed.
Annual budget report: Committee discussed the 2004 report. Celeste will update 2005 report for submittal.
Lifeguards: Celeste noted that all lifeguards from last year have expressed a desire to return this summer.
Cram Grove: Committee members have noticed several pipes laying about in Cram Grove. No-one in committee was aware of any request to store anything where they are at present. Celeste will investigate this matter.
