Tuttle Library Trustees Meeting
November 16, 2017 Minutes
Present: William Bryk, Colleen Giffin, Ron Haggett, Stephen Ullman, and Margaret Warner; Cynthia Jewett, Library Director
Ron Haggett moved and William Bryk seconded adoption of the amended agenda. Voted unanimously.
Ron then delivered the November 16, 2017 Treasurer’s Report. The Trustees have prepared their budget proposal for the next fiscal year. The window restoration project has ended.
Bill moved and Steve seconded adoption of the Treasurer’s Report. The Trustees unanimously accepted the Treasurer’s Report.
Cyndi presented the Director’s report. More than 100 people attended the October programs. Programs will start up again in January after the Festival of Trees. Josh Judge, meteorologist for WMUR Channel 9 will address children. Cyndi is supplementing past marketing efforts.
Cyndi has been further improving the Library web site.
Chairperson Colleen initiated a project to reexamine the Library Policies and By-Laws. Colleen assigned sections to each Trustee for intensive scrutiny.
The Library recently added two trees in front. A plaque will record these trees as gifts from the 2017 Library Trustees.
Ron reported on computer-related developments, including enhancement of the security system.
The Library will hold extended hours for Festival of Trees events.
Bill moved and Steve seconded a motion to grant Christmas bonuses to the staff in light of their extraordinary work during 2017. Adopted unanimously.
The Library must replace one of its oil tanks. The elevator has been inspected
Ron Haggett moved and Margie Warner seconded a motion to adjourn. Adopted unanimously.
